Hi, I’m Arlen Card, Founder of Arlen Card Law Firm, a Utah-based Professional Corporation. I practice what I like to call “Enlightened Law.” This means that I don’t selfishly grab every little advantage for my clients. Instead, I get them the benefits they care about, and help them get into transactions and situations where everyone is treated fairly and with respect. This can sharply reduce the chance for litigation down the road.
You see, in litigation, the general rule of thumb is, when you consider the human cost of a court dispute, nobody wins a litigation except the attorneys representing the parties. The heartburn, anger, and frustration are a big deal for most people.
Additionally, litigation usually arises when one person feels wronged by another. Contracts and other legal documents, the way I draft them, lead to win-win situations with clear and fair parameters, so no one missteps — no one even wants to. This can potentially lead to a litigation-free life, saving my clients tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars as well as untold stress.
I only have two practice areas:
- Contract Law, where I can do what I described above directly, and help businesses and individuals to thrive in these uncertain and difficult times, and
- Estate Planning, where I can help people avoid difficulties for themselves and their heirs and beneficiaries, leading to peace of mind.
By staying this narrow, I can easier stay completely current on legal techniques and issues within my two practice areas. If your matter is not contract or estate-related, I can refer you to good colleagues who do practice in the area of help you need, but I cannot expand my practice beyond these two areas. These are where I can do the most good.
So, if you think my practice might be a good fit for your needs, and if you live in Utah, I would welcome your call or email to query me regarding your situation.
If we’re not a match, then no worries.
Either way, feel free to explore this site, and our ever-expanding collection of instructional videos, articles, and other media.
Warm regards,
Arlen L. Card; Attorney at Law
